Privacy & your screenplay
Scriptwrecked Pro Check is operated by Trevor Mayes. This page describes the service’s handling of scripts, reports and customer information.
What we collect
We collect your name, email address, screenplay title and file, analysis results, payment references and service status. An optional Los Angeles location answer is used only for the title-page phone-number check. We do not receive your full payment card details; PayPal handles payment.
How we use it
We use your screenplay to run the checklist and produce your report. Contact information is used for order support and service notifications. Purchasing a check does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Retention
Original screenplay files and extracted text expire 14 days after upload. Reports, including quoted excerpts, expire 30 days after completion. Expired material becomes inaccessible at its deadline and is removed during scheduled maintenance. Limited order, payment and contact records are retained for administration and support.
Access and processors
Your script is accessible through your session and to the service administrator for support and testing. Automated analysis sends the script to the configured OpenAI API. Hosting and file storage use ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. PayPal processes payments, and Resend delivers service emails when connected. These providers process data under their own applicable terms and retention policies. Our 14- and 30-day limits apply to the copies stored by this service.
Ownership and use
You retain ownership of your screenplay. Submitting it authorizes processing for this service; it does not grant Scriptwrecked permission to publish, sell or adapt your work. We do not use submitted scripts to build a training dataset.
Testing
Owner-only tests can be processed through a ChatGPT session instead of the API. That session’s data controls apply to the test packet and conversation. Test reports are labeled accordingly.
Cookies and access
A necessary secure session cookie links guest uploads and reports to the browser that submitted them. Report-ready emails include a private access link that also works on another device; opening it sets a report-specific access cookie. Administrator access uses Sign in with ChatGPT. Keep downloaded reports private; they contain script excerpts.
